The aim of this activity is to help you find out more about palliative care in your region and country.
After working through this Module, you should attempt to find out what national and regional palliative care strategies are promoted in your country and locality. Are they government-sponsored, or have they been developed by a non-profit specialist palliative care organisation? Try to obtain a copy of any guidelines for palliative care in your country and highlight any areas where these might impact on a renal cancer patient. You should also try to find out whether there are any national palliative care nursing bodies in your country and, if there are, what services they provide to those requiring palliative care.
