At the end of most units within the course you are presented with an opportunity to assess yourself on your knowledge and understanding of the material. The assessments are multiple-choice tests. On completion of a test, you submit your answers and within seconds you are presented with your score and with feedback for each of your ‘correct’ answers. By undertaking all of the tests and the course evaluation, you are deemed to have ‘completed’ the course. Your personal Learning Record (available from the right-hand menu) will reflect the number of tests you have taken and an overall score for the course. On completion of the course, you will gain access to a ‘Record of Achievement’ and a certificate that you can print and keep in a learning portfolio.
Note: you can retake the tests in the course as many times as you like in order to improve your overall course score. The highest score for each test will always be used to determine your overall score.
Each Module also presents you with a number of optional learning activities. These activities present you with questions and issues to think about and research. They also invite you to record them in your personal Learning Record (available from the right-hand menu).
